Welcome to the 22nd annual CBD Golf Escape! Like all milestone birthdays, we are celebrating in style and are delighted to have you join us this weekend.
There can be no doubting that our CBD Golf Escape! is the jewel in the crown of charity fundraising events in Australia. Thanks to your support over the last two decades, this event has raised a total of $11 million to support children and adults with cerebral palsy. That’s a lot of therapy, equipment and support for families in need.
In 2016, the funds raised at this event will be directed to furthering the work of services and our research foundation.
Led by the Macquarie Chair of cerebral palsy, Professor Nadia Badawi (AM), the Research Foundation of Cerebral Palsy Alliance was established in 2006. Over the past 10 years more than $12 million has been raised and invested into cutting edge research programs into the treatment, prevention and cure of cerebral palsy.
Today we are leading the world-wide push towards prevention and cure by encouraging global collaborations and dedicated focus on a rigorous research program.
Of course, the CBD Golf Escape! just wouldn’t be the same without the long running support of Ian Mayer and Chatswood Toyota.
Thanks also to every member of the CBD Golf Escape! committee, past and present.
Particular thanks to current committee members:
Chairman: Ian Mayer – Chatswood Toyota
Louise Barrett – Ten Network
David Gillard – Bob Stanton Corporate Golf
